Ordering Guide

Batch InformationAll porcelain is manufactured in batches, which can mean that colour and texture may vary between batch numbers. To identify your porcelain, each tile is wrapped showing the specific batch number. We recommend keeping this batch number in case you need replacements or additional tiles. We advise against mixing different size packs, as the packs are not manufactured together so can vary in colour and textures.
Sometimes the packaging on our tiles and crates may be labelled with a different name than the one used on our website. Trade names and Manufacturing names sometimes differ due to the copyright with names.

Installation Guidelines

Outdoor Porcelain Installation Guide

Installing outdoor porcelain tiles can be a great way to update the look of your space.

Here is a step-by-step guide to help you with the installation process:

A modern approach to external tiling involves using a sub-base made of compacted 100mm type one stone – thickness can vary. This typically consists of two layers, each 50mm thick, of compacted stone. Once this is done, 20mm porcelain tiles can be applied on top using a bedding mortar.

If you are fixing tiles to compacted stone using a bedding mortar, there are only 3 steps to follow.

1) Prepare a minimum 30mm layer of bedding mortar by mixing it and applying it.

2) Use a slurry primer to coat the back of the 20mm porcelain tile, then place it into the wet bedding mortar. We recommend using our Prem-Prime: Paving Slurry Primer for a long-lasting and effortless installation.

3) After the mortar has hardened, we recommend using our Flowpoint Fine: Rapid Set Flowable Grout or ProJoint: Rapid Flow Brush-In Porcelain Grout.

Following these steps will help ensure a successful outdoor porcelain tile installation, remember to consult the manufacturer's instructions, and seek professional help if needed.

It goes without saying that if you would like any further advice before embarking on your external tiling job, we are always here to support and guide you.
